Linda Wain is a much sought after artist, with an international reputation, specialising in wildlife. She started her career at Royal Crown Derby where, for eleven years, she painted mainly birds, figurines and jewellery. Linda now works as a self-employed artist. She has always had a strong love of nature, animals and birds and this is reflected in her work. She loves obtaining material for her paintings as she has been able to see and handle all sorts of animals. She has won awards including being a finalist in ‘Not the Turner prize’ and has exhibited in many galleries including the Mall Galleries in London. Linda has had her paintings endorsed from many well known people including Virginia Mc Kenna from the film ’Born Free’ and has visited the Born Free Big Cat Sanctuary several times. Linda teaches and inspires others with their art, holding regular weekly art classes, several workshop days each year and demonstrates to art societies.
