Paint the beautiful Wye Valley with Paul Oakley in Oils or Acrylics

Details

We will paint a mixture of subjects including buildings in the landscape at

places like Tintern Abbey, Tintern Old Station, Tintern Parva and St.

Briavel's. We will also paint boats, water and reflections at Ross-on-Wye,

Chepstow, Lydney Harbour and Cannop Ponds. Subjects will include

castles, old ruins, bridges, cottages and villages.

Paul is an experienced artist and teacher and regularly runs painting

courses and workshops as well as demonstrating for art groups and

societies. Paul will join you painting in some beautiful locations in and

around the Wye Valley where he will paint a demonstration each day to

show how to best capture a landscape painted 'en plein air', as well as

leaving you lots of time for your own painting.

As well as demonstrating, Paul will be on hand whilst you're painting to

provide advice on composition and technique in order to ensure you get

the most from your time painting with him. His approach to painting

outdoors is that it should be enjoyable and this comes over in his

approach to painting and the way he helps others who are sharing the

experience with him.
