Brecon

Beacons National Park where we will paint mountains, valleys, rivers,

lakes and streams.

Details

We will paint in the heart of the Brecon Beacons painting mountains,

valleys, moorlands, streams, waterfalls, lakes/reservoirs and the Brecon

and Monmouth canal in Brecon. We will paint Pen-y-Fan, Pontsticill

Reservoir and Dolyger Reservoir.

You will start by sketching and taking photos, where you can concentrate

on composition finding and absorb subjects, before starting work on your

painting. He will assist this process with either a demonstration or quick

sketches to illustrate what can be achieved quickly. Paul likes to use a

loose, rapid approach to painting, usually completing a piece in around

two hours. Paul helps painters with their own work, giving individual

tuition, demonstrations, offering helpful and technical advice. Despite

being a location course there will be some studio work where he will

show you some tips and techniques.
