Ever wanted to Simply Sketch & Paint with more emphasis on simply painting than on tuition...well now is your chance! This holiday is for the more confident artist who wants to spend more time painting and doesn't want tuition but would rather have a longer holiday gathering more sketches.

We are offering 5 full days painting for less than the price of a regular 4 day painting holiday.

The emphasis will be on sketching where you will be able to sketch some iconic spots and to paint in places not possible during a normal painting holiday and there will be opportunity for you to relax and produce full blown paintings either en-plein air or back in the studio.

This holiday is very similar to our Sketching & Painting holidays along with some regular en-plein air painting opportunities and some studio work. There will also be a Sketching & Walking day too.

The proposed itinerary will be as follows :-

Sketching & Painting & Regular 'En Plein Air' on Location Painting Days During these days you can either spend the day sketching different scenes or you can do a full painting. Very little walking is required on these days. On these days we will visit Goytre Wharf, Bleanavon Ironworks & Raglan Castle

Sketching & Walking On this day we will paint at various points around Tintern; probably starting at the Abbey, then walking up to Tintern Parva, where we will paint the bridge, the river Wye with buildings and reflections. We will then arrive at Tintern Old Station in time for lunch where we will sketch the old station and signal box. After lunch for the more energetic ones in the group we will walk up-to Brockweir where we can paint the river, bridge, cottages and the Moravian church. (Total walking distance is 2 miles but we can drop those off with limited mobility at the Old Station)

'Around The Hotel' On this day you can sketch around the hotel grounds or you can spend some or all of the time in the studio to produce full blown paintings from earlier sketches.

You can choose to sketch for the entire holiday producing 2, 3 or 4 sketches a day or full blown paintings each day as you prefer.

There will also be walking routes at all locations visited for your non-painting partners.
