Key Details

The mediaeval town of Obidos is one of the most picturesque and well preserved in Portugal with it's cobbled streets,

traditional buildings, bougainvillea and other creepers adorning doorways and windows. There are many narrow streets off

of the main street and historic churches with a square. There is an imposing castle with ramparts encircling the town. There

is just so much to paint around the town and on the outskirts. Further afield there is the historic town of Caldas Da Rainha

and on the Silver Coast we can visit the coastal towns of Nazare, Sao Martinho do Porto and Peniche where there is the Fort

of Peniche. We will also have an all-inclusive excursion to Pena Palace, Sintra which is a magical place and has to be seen to

be believed. We will not be painting there but you must take your cameras for painting later because it has some amazing

sights. You will be truly impressed by the architecture and colours.

Holiday Details

Arrival Date - Please see transfer options on the Transport Page for this destination. Please do not book your flights until advised to do so. Also, please call for details/advice and pick-up times before booking your flight or train ticket.  

Deposit - The deposit is £350 per person.

Painting Course - There will be 5 days tuition plus one day off.

We will leave the hotel at 9.30am each morning, have lunch around 1pm and finish at 4.30pm each day.

On the day off you are free to relax or come on the excursion, which is optional and is included in the price. You are free to paint of course on the day off, if you wish, but there will be no tuition.

Departure Date - On the departure date all guests will be taken to the airport/station at set times to suit the relevant flights.

What’s included?

Prices are inclusive of 5 days tuition, airport transfers, transport whilst out painting, 7 nights accommodation, continental breakfast, lunches, soft drinks, 3 course evening meals and wine with evening meals.

Prices exclude art materials, flights and travel insurance.

You need to ensure that you have sufficient travel insurance for ALL holidays with us including the UK, Jersey & the EU. We cannot be held responsible for any guest not having sufficient travel insurance for their requirements.

If a non-painting partner requires car hire we can arrange this direct with a local company.

Art Materials available at an extra charge (As From 2023)

For a small additional charge you can have all Art Materials provided for use only on your holiday. Please see Key Details above for more information on pricing and what is included for each medium.

Art Equipment is available and included in the price for all guests such as Easels, Chairs and Boards but please indicate on your booking form if you require these so that we can make sure we have enough available.
