District where we will paint lakes, mountains and rivers around

Windermere.

Details

We will paint at selected secluded spots around Lake Windermere such as

Waterhead and Fell Foot Park plus we will paint at places such as

Elterwater in the Langdale Valley, Hawkshead or Cartmel. There is plenty

of subject matter at Stott Park Bobbin Mill and Sizergh Castle, south of

Windermere. We will paint a selection of bridges, waterfalls, cascading

rivers, rocks, villages, churches and castles. There is so much choice of

subjects to paint.

With Paul you will start by sketching and taking photographs, where you

can concentrate on composition finding and absorb subjects, before

starting work on your painting. He will assist this process with either a

demonstration or quick sketches to illustrate what can be achieved quickly.

Paul likes to use a loose, rapid approach to painting, usually completing a

piece in around two hours.

Paul helps painters with their own work, giving individual tuition, offering

helpful and technical advice.
