Join Grahame Booth on this truly awe inspiring trip to paint the beautiful

Lake Maggiore and shoreline towns and villages.

Holiday Details

We will paint the stunning Borromean islands within the lake with snow

capped mountains as the backdrop. We will also visit the stunning towns

and villages of Pallanza, Laverno and/or Ascona (Switzerland) by boat.

We will also have a day painting around the hotel where you can paint

mountains, the lake, beautiful buildings and there is a beautiful little

harbour just a few steps from the hotel. We will travel by road to a nearby

lakeside town of Cannobio which has some cracking views across the lake

to Switzerland and some typically Northern Italian architecure around the

marina where we can paint too.

We will travel by boat to most of the painting locations. It is truly amazing

arriving at a location by boat as the shoreline part of the town comes into

view and you will be dropped off right in the heart of the historic part of

town. As you arrive at the locations by boat you can feel the anticipation

growing in you as to the wonderful sights you will be able to see and paint.

Once you step out onto dry land the painting locations do not disappoint.

Please Note - You need to have reasonable mobility to be able to get on

and off a small boat that is moored at the quayside including getting down

the steps into the cabin which does have good grab rails. Some jetties are

floating and move slightly when you are getting on and off. Once at the

location it will mostly be on the flat and generally it will not be very far

from the quayside. However, on occasions we may have to walk 200-300

yards on the flat.

About the Tutor

Grahame will illustrate and impart his skills and knowledge with clarity and

humour.

He will do this through demonstrations and giving plenty of tips and

techniques. His approachable style of teaching will enable you to get the

most out of your paintings as he will assist you. He will give you the

enthusiasm to develop your own style utilising the lessons so expertly

taught and will tailor any one-to-one tuition to each individuals needs.
